I'm so happy I'm going to k.o. Abby slept thru the nite last nite! :D Last feed was 10pm and after changing she slept. I woke up at 4.30 coz i was swollen and praying that she'd sleep thru, and indeed this morning i had to wake her up at 8am for her morning feed! Although it has been extremely challenging to stay on a routine - it's not always successful - still a nite of success like this makes it all worth it!!
Also, after surfing online for Ezzo materials and meeting tons of Babywise criticisms, I was suddenly inspired to look up Yahoo! Groups and join them instead. The Internet can sometimes fail you. Sadly. I'm glad. Now i'm part of 3 groups:
1. Growing Kids
2. Ezzomoms
3. Routine Babies Support (Open to public)
Here's the official site's brief write-up about Preparation for Parenting.
I've read the book from cover to cover many times yet there are questions which I have unanswered. Having these groups, as well as the one i started with our parenting group but is dormant :P, will really help in stabilising a baby.
Really hope that eve will find these beneficial coz babies really test our character, endurance, patience, love and whatever tricks we have up our sleeves. A goodnight's sleep is much more highly coveted than a Tiffany's diamond ring for a mother, for most moms at least...
On a not so happy note, i heard abby cough yesterday. Not the choking kind where she chokes on milk, but out of the blue type. It sounded phlegmy. Also, she's been sneezing more frequently. Last nite she merlioned big time and looked quite zoned out. Maybe she was overstimulated yesterday, so she hasn't been feelg too well. I'm upping my Vit Cs and keep us quarantined until she gets better. Let's hope there's some semblance of a schedule today.
(Sorry folks, if you're looking for juicy details of my life, i'm currently a SAHM. Hardly any juice now.)
8am - feed, diaper change, play; 9.10am put down to bed for nap.
11.15am - woke her up to feed (took her own sweet time to feed - start/stop, when i tried to take her off she started again), put her down to bed at 1205pm for nap. No diaper change. Next feed at 2.15pm. So far so good. No bath interruptions.
Ben stayed up till 5am this morning to mark problem sums which i hadn't done. Slept till 9am. Managed to reach TM for mtg earlier than his counterpart! :D Also, thank God we pumped petrol last nite. He had to rush out of the house this morning.
Me thinking of enrolling with some car-sharing scheme so that I have more mobility than being stuck at home. Well, let's see how... at least not for these few days until Abby feels better. :)
K.O. time.
--------------------------------------------------------------
K, she ate at 2pm and was put in bed at 3.30pm. Still awake. I'm beginning to suspect the real reason why she slept thru the nite was because she didn't have a decent nap yesterday. Her 2yo+ uncle ryan was terribly excited to see her and went "Baybee! Baybee!" the whole afternoon while we were at his place... he's absolutely adorable, and in his efforts to show his affection for her, kisses her on his own accord using his forehead, rocked her in her infant car seat, though pretty violently. I dun think Abby had a clue to wat was happening, just tat she kept opening her eyes throughout her nap. Then when we were at my mum's place, Joy was the other excited one. Kept barking and barking and barking. So abby decided to keep her eyes open all the way. By the time she got home, she was zonked out.
