Mmmmm....

Just came back from 7-Eleven. :D Had my hawaiian pizza - cheeze & pineapple and a great time with Ben. Heheh... dirty jokes galore! :P Couldn't eat dinner, my MIL was encouraging me to eat frog's legs, saying they are 3 times as expensive as chicken. Hmmm... nope, still won't eat it. It's a conspiracy. Every time my ma orders frog's legs, my MIL would prepare it also. :P Yucks. Anyway, I sipped the gravy and felt nauseated immediately. Even the baby dussen like it. It WASN'T psychological, I promise.

Just visited my bro's blog (again) and i feel broke. Can't he ask for cheaper stuff? He just needs a new comp coz the old one died. And how I wish I could give him one, which I know wouldn't last very long either - 1 yr? :P well, he wants a 5 megapixel Cybershot digital camera also. Very expensive. We can only give him a harddrive. The rest hopefully the ERS shares would be able to cover. After reading magazine articles about why some couples (who are earning at least $7k together) are not having kids due to the high costs (?), I seriously think we may jolly well just make ends meet. WLE, $7k a month and still not enough? But they got car, house, maid (some don't), credit card bills, etc. Sigh. Teach us to be contented, Lord.

I do hope mum has enough $$ for bro's education. Hopefully no one would rob him of his education. If the person has the heart to, he's pretty self-centred. Sigh. We all have relatives we aren't very proud of. :P

2003's coming to a close and 2004 will be a big change. (At least my weight would be.) Just wondering, do we follow our mother's footsteps in pregnancy? Would we go through roughly the same stuff as our mothers? If so, it's pretty scary. :(

(Almost) Restful Sleep

Realise I've been sleep 6 hr blocks. :P 11-5am, then 5.30 to 11.30am. Would just wake up automatically, go piss, drink water and do strange things. I flossed my teeth this morning at 5. There was just this piece of gunk that just wouldn't be dislodged. U know that feeling when u shut your jaw, there's a teeny weeny bit in between the molars right at the back of your teeth (unless u haven't any). After flossing, went to admire the living being next to me, unconscious to the strange occurences around the room. He's been working real hard, now with the added responsibility of being a soon-to-be father, he's up two notches!

Had a really late lunch, and managed to have a decent conversation with our domestic help. It was quite funny. She was speaking in Bahasa with broken english, while me in English accompanied by equally broken bits of bahasa. We spoke about having a baby, her baby, her loving Chinese husband (*gasp* the old maid said her hubby ill-treated her and ran away with someone else), showed me his photo, as well as a photo of her with an aussie guy who wanted to marry her but she said no (oooh!!), and about how she wants to 'hantam' the old maid for spreading rumours about her. This old maid now sports golden hair (she was spotted at marina square during hari-raya by a relative's maid) and has been spewing nonsense nonstop. Ours is soooo pissed. She also did say that my MIL said that 'if' i have a baby, they'll get another maid to take care of the baby while she manages the house. My mil dussen want to break the news to her yet, she dussen want her telling the whole neighbourhood like the last one did - but now she knows. She did mention that if i have a baby, then another maid would come along, then she would work a shorter no. of yrs it seems. Or was it a longer no. of years? Hmm... dunno.

Watched Practical Magic - Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. The opening song was gorgeous - the kind which makes cheesy wedding videos a bestseller. Well, I felt the bad boyfriend was quite lame to an otherwise not-too-bad story. The ending was pretty predictable - who would expect Sally to go to jail for killing a dracula? Hmm... perhaps - that would then be the twist to the story.

Gosh, another couple of hours before Ben arrives home. The room is still in an utter mess and I am too lazy to clean it up. Gotta copy stuff from C: drive over before the 2k4 benji bug bites me. :P Hmmm... they said near the end of the 3rd trimester, preggos would normally go into a cleaning frenzy. How nice. :) I wanna go swimming!

Horrid Dreams

Another nite of horrid dreams. :P First, I dreamt that we were in church after giving birth, and the baby was so gorgeous. Was reading a mag after the service when Ben glanced at it also - it was some ad. Then this chio babe walked passed, saw the mag and commented her preference (of some order - some self/couple quiz). And this nightmare Ben was so charmed by her independence as displayed by her preference (No, I don't think we need to wait for each other for mealtimes/bedtimes/anyothertimes, he can do it by himself, doesn't need me) and ben's look on the face was, "Wow, I'm amazed. Yes, that definitely puts the pressure off the partner to do whatever he pleases without having to accommodate the other party's schedule/wants/needs." & so this nightmare ben happily chats and walks off with her out of church, leaving me with the baby. Finally, when I managed to catch the lift down to the first level, it was already the last lift. Everyone else was already gone. And the lift took an incredibly loooooOOooong time to get to the first floor. Think I called it "falling into a time lapse" in the dream. When I finally arrived at the first floor, the lift monitor showed, "FSUN" meaning first lift on Sunday morning. It was 6:18am. (When I took the lift, it was Saturday Nite's service). It was scary. There was no panic, nothing, everyone just fell into a deep slumber in the lift while it took its own sweet time. When I got out of the lift, nightmare ben was no where to be seen. Apparently he left with the lady - either sent her back or she went back home with him. Then I heard news that they were getting married that morning! Or had sex or something. Then I called him, and he didn't even ask where I was. Just a sleepy voice on the phone. Told him what happened, and he said that he couldn't come and pick me up coz he had to fly off to somewhere for a Centre's meeting or something. So I suggested meeting him at Changi Airport, told him the plans etc etc and he cut off the phone. I was devastated. Totally shocked at the bus stop and told myself I had to get out of this. Then I woke up. Suddenly my heart started beating so hard, it was scary.

After messing around with food for awhile, I finally drifted back to sleep. (Oh, this interval including telling the real Ben what happened. He was real sweet to comfort me.) Then another strange dream. Dreamt of the girls. Think we were leaving my mum's place, then Mich & I were ready but elise was still putting on her shoes. Then we decided to sabo her by taking one side and running away with it. I could never imagine her fury! She got so pissed that she tore up the other shoes lying around her! Every she was gone, my brother's, my mum's, mine, just gone. She was that pissed.

Argh. Hate these dreams.

A Dreamy Sunday

I couldn't wake up this morning. Tried as I might, I simply couldn't. Ben had to help me out of bed for brunch, and throughout it, i felt like a ragdoll. Had some strange dreams - attacked by an Alsatian (got my ass licked), got stuck at immigration to M'sia (was travelling with the girls) coz my passport had a serial number starting with S.81.... and it wasn't allowed in Malaysia. (??) Funny thing was, as I was stuck there, who but Jamie queued up behind me and started talkin' to me, somewhat reluctantly. She had a strange hairstyle - too gross to mention here. But since Ayumi had it (dream), so she had to too. Hmm. Oh, also dreamt that Ben & I went to this fun island - something like Sentosa but in another country I think, with kangaroos. And I met a friend there. In a couple of other dreams, I dreamt that I wanted to msg/email this friend mentioning what I dreamt. Strange. :P Well, after this marathon, I'm finally awake, and no longer feelin' like a ragdoll. Ben's gone to prepare for the BBQ first, and may pick me up later. Heh, and I have permission to beat up the ben in my dreams. He's a pure bastard - even Ben thinks so. He thinks this ben is an accummulation of all my ex-bfs. Hmmm... I think beating him up sounds good. :P

Satisfying Saturday...

Hmmm... had a great dinner at my aunt's place. Satisfied my cravings - potato & carbonara. Heh. Fantastic dessert too. Finally opened up the Christmas gifts - talk about delayed gratification - we received a nice CD from my cousin - by Josh Groban. We found Track 08 - Broken Vow - so familiar, and I went on a mental recall... thought it was from the movie - Life is a miracle... tried to watch it and found out it was a different song, and continued to squeeze my brainjuice. Finally the climax! Or rather, anticlimax - it was from Meteor Garden II. Sigh. :P Remember those touching moments, and they flashed the Mandarin translation of the song! So dumb! Well, so much for that chase. Hmmm... I miss my bed, and my LG in it! :D

Costs of delivery...

At Mount Elizabeth Hospital...

At Gleneagles Hospital...

At Thomson Medical Centre...

At KK Hospital...

At Mount Alvernia Hospital...

To convince my MIL...

When science presents findings that oppose tradition, how do we justify it? Last nite, my aunt recommended not to take ginger *gasp* during confinement as her ob said that ginger triggers jaundice. Told my MIL, and she's going to 'research' with a lady who's given birth many times. As for our personal research, here's what I found... Newborn Jaundice. Oh, ob said better dun take ginseng also (during pregnancy) coz got steriods. :P Dun like opposing MIL. Sigh.

Birthtalk...

Went to aunt's house for Christmas dinner, had an interesting chat regarding caesarean vs vaginal birth. :P Enuff of that, here's a site to kiv later... Sleepy. *yawn* and hungry. :P

Incredibly funny posts... and definitely serious ones too, right here! Dos & Don'ts During Pregnancy

Merry Christmas! :D

It's Christmas time again. I'm so glad my mother-in-law brought xuan to my aunt's place for a Christmas dinner. Her first, and I pray it won't be her last. Xuan enjoyed himself there, playing with other 2 yr old boys and all. Never seen Ryan fight, heh, that lil' one, he's definitely got my heart! :D Though he was the smallest there among the 3 boys (including wei-en), can't mess with him! Heh, a fighter, as always. :)

Went to the gynae today, was initially saboed by Del & SL two days ago. Told us he was dr freddie yap. :P When i called the clinic, they were like, "Huh?" Well, later on, they confessed that the joke was supposed to be on ben, but i was the butt of it instead. But after seeing him today, he DOES look like a freddie - that frog chocolate that comes in turquoise wrapper with the frog on it! :) heh, at first i thought he looked violent, but after talking to him, both ben & i felt really comfortable. :) Even for my condition, he was cool about it - unlike the previous one who tried to convince me it was nothing but recommended otherwise. :P Did an ultrasound scan today, saw the sac only. Can't detect the kid's heartbeat yet. Going back again in two weeks' time with mummy! Yay! :D

Oh. The nurse took my blood for progesterone test today. Trying to swell my tiny vein, finally after she withdrew the blood, she commented, "wah, your blood very oily huh?" (I was expecting to see that layer of reflection that oil produces but no...) when she showed me, ben & i were grossed out. There were clumps of fat in the syringe! Those bak-kut-teh tiny clumps of fat that float in the soup? Yup, those. Gross. She was quite amazed also, said, "Wah, you so skinny, blood so oily! But donch worry, cholesterol good for the baby!" Now, Ben has to work out. He's dussen have a baby to suck his cholesterol. And the last event - they told me to go get urine sample AFTER I went to the loo. :P Sigh. When we finally exited the hospitall, i had a giddy attack again! :P Sigh - my balance level was thrown off course, and I had to rest in the car after lunch while ben picked up our baby! The iBook! :D Yessh! It's finally here! :D With accessories, and a funky $19 mouse which looks damn cool. :) Heh. He's fondling it now, while I caressing the older one. Heh.

Oh yes, before I forget, HI JAYZ! *wave* Long time old pal for NYJC. a.k.a. yongyong. hmm...

It's Sunday again!

Had a great time in church today. I think the whole church knows... or at least, the church staff. That's what happens when mummy is one of them! Hehe... I love her anyway!

Had a great party last nite, singing, dancing and hairburning and all with candles and carefree/careless hugs. Sooo many people!!! 38 people in pastor mark's house!! :D Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese nationals, malaysians, singaporeans, english... It's really a mixture of cultures! Yup, that's our cell! :D Lots of food also, fwah... too bad I could only eat a little. When we stepped in, Roland the giant smiled at us and said, "We heard!" We smiled, before we could say anything much, he announced, "Audrey's expecting!!!" Was so fun! :D unfortunately, I think the cell's the last to noe,... but really, they were all so sweet! :D

Today's sermon about Barnabas (not commonly known as Joseph)- He's a good man because of wat he saw, felt, said, did, and was. :) That's the summary, and the speaker gave the sermon without his notes! Fwah! :D Very interesting speaker. :)

Miss my bro and my ma. Today's sunday, but no family dinner. :( It's okie, will get together soon. Ah-ma's AT A CHURCH CAMP!!! :D Hallelujah! :D It's been a long journey, but God, You're faithful to Your promises! :D

Will keep updating. Tomorrow is a BRAND NEW DAY! :D

The meaning of Abigail
Origin: Biblical
Meaning: The father's joy

Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: Father rejoiced, or father's joy. Gives joy. The intelligent, beautiful Abigail was Old Testament King David's third wife, described as 'good in discretion and beautiful in form.' In the 1916 play The Scornful Lady, Abigail was a lady's maid. (Source)

For LOTR fans... like me! :P

For those who really dun understand what LOTR is about, people like yours truly, this is a great explanation! But to save the trouble, I've cut & pasted it here!

Tolkien for Bengs
So the new Lord of the Rings movie is coming out, and you want to impress some Ah Lian youíre trying to buaya by being able to explain the whole complicated plot with all the funny sounding names and words. You want to seem like youíve actually read all 3 books, but ñ damn suay ñeven The New Paper is too ëcheemí for you. Nehímine! Dun scared! Here is our easy to understand guide to J.R.R. Tolkeinís trilogy, written specially in the conversational style of Ah Bengs, so you can memorize:

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING

Last time got this short-short person with si-beh hairy legs called Bilbo, lor. He, hor, got this ring that last time belong to some monster.

But then, hor, one day suay-suay the monster want it back, and send his kah kiah to Bilboís house to settle, lah.

But the ring, hor, acherly can make people very powderful. But then, hor, if you wear too long will also kena sai. Si beh hiong one, so better faster go and destroy it, lor.

So Bilboís nephew FrodoÖ Aiyah, dun ask me why their name all so funny, can or not? You ask me, I ask who?

Anyway, Frodo and some peng yew kena arrow to go and destroy the ring.

But donno why also, they must do it in the monsterís home, which is at the end of New Zealand there.

So they walk and walk and walk across New Zealand, lah. And then along the way, got monster chase them, got people want to hoot them, some of them dieded, all sorts of thing, lah.

At the end, Frodo and Sam, his pooi-pooi friend who I think so is a bit ah quah, got separated from the rest.

THE TWO TOWERS

Frodo and Sam meet up with this thing called Gollum, who look like he take too much Slim 10 like that.

At the same time, hor, the other friends get into some powderful hooting session, where, wah lau eh, even the trees can do gongfu one. They all fight over what, I also donno, but quite kan cheong, lah.

THE RETURN OF THE KING

In the end, Frodo and his peng yew all win leow, lah. Arbuthen?

Surfing around...

Wow,... the pictures in this site now really mean something! Heh! :D If I'm not mistaken, our little one is now like this! :D

7 weeks - Facial features are visible, including a mouth and tongue. The eyes have a retina and lens. The major muscle system is developed, and the unborn child practices moving. The child has its own blood type, distinct from the mother's. These blood cells are produced by the liver now instead of the yolk sac.

Exciting! :) God, please continue knitting this baby! :D

Argh...

Tummy has been giving me problems. Ate porridge for dinner last night and puked all out. The usual tummy problem coz had lots of gas inside and a headache to accompany the gas. But once the gas is out, the headache's mostly gone. Mum says I might be really anxious, and told me to relax. Ben gave me a nice massage last nite, felt really loved.

Found out from him mum that his aunt wasn't really pleased when she wasn't seated at the main VIP table during the wedding dinner. :P But she messaged me this morning to congratulate me. :)

The wedding dinner photos are here. But they are in FlipAlbum, can't see the jpg files for themselves. Need decoder, Ben says. 363 pictures altogether, developing 150 (in package) and digital images will be given. Have to pay $100 for the remaining 213 digital images. Fwah. And the flipalbum is valid for only 6 days. After that the program can't be opened anymore. :P

Praise the Lord!

I'm going to be a mummy! Praise the Lord for His goodness! :) Had a dream as i woke up on Sunday morning - dreamt that i was testing for pregnancy and i saw a '+' together with a '|' or a '-'... can't remember the second line, then i got so excited (in the dream), I started telling everyone! Can't remember who I told.

Then today... :) Tested in the morning, coz my menstral cycle really late... and when i saw it, I was like, "OMG!" :D (I even forgot to flush!) Ben was still lazing in bed, and when he saw, his eyes were SO big and so was his smile! :D Gave me a really big hug! Wow! It was a great morning. Even self-declare half-day off... heheh... took me to Dr Khoo clinic to confirm. Told him that they'd also use a kit, hehehe.... which they did, and he was like, WLE. But for that confirmation, it was worth it. :)

Hmm... no wonder yesterday's mee-kia tasted horrible, and i've been feeling nauseous. Argh. I still love food! But i wanna be a funky mummy, not some bloated whale awashed on the shore. I've seen some like that, sit in the hospital chair, dunno whether supported by the elbow or the butt. I really couldn't tell...

Must pray for smooth pregnancy, and God will protect this child! Praise the Lord! :D

Home Sweet Home...

I'm finally home. Showered and clean. Didn't bring a spare towel to the camp, so i stank from last nite till now. :P Camp was fun, did an impromptu act... hahah... like a seow char bor! Joyce is a really good actress... quite amazed by her. Ben's really good too. I'm so in awe of Joey. She's like an angel! Gosh! Can just watch her all day... patient, kind, believes in people, soft-spoken yet clear in speech... Oooh. Got potential to go far. :)

Came back from Colmar Tropicale. Interesting trip, although apparently we missed the Rabbit Park. Thought it'd be smelly, but it's supposed to have many many rabbits! Started the journey on 11/12/2003, around 6.50pm. We arrived there, (after an hour's journey up and down Genting just to change bus) around close to 4pm. Then checked out the place, had an early dinner after a lovely chat at The French Bakery, then went to their dinner place around 7 plus. 3 adults for RM120, but was charged 2 adults and 1 child - RM$100! :) Nice waiter to give us that discount. Some food was good, others so-so. :P Hmm... Didn't sleep well, missed Ben like mad. Well, throughout the whole trip lah. Gotta go, will blog later, hopefully.

Good day...

Claire came to the centre today. She's a real darling. Helped the KC volunteers to prepare for their lessons - fruits dipped in chocolate, mashed potatoes and ice-blended milo! :D The kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Although they didn't get to make those stuff, they really sat through the whole session, from 2.30 to 5pm! Diana was really well-behaved, and so were some of the rest. Ben didn't have to come out to holler at them! Praise the Lord! :D Heh, and he got his work done. Mission accomplished. And he was really glad about it too! :D The food's yummy, and I'm still craving for the mashed potatoes. Disgusting. Heh. :P

Went to mamah's house for dinner today. Thank God. Ben's out with the guys, planning the wedding dinner. He's finally getting his re-charge after many weeks of non male-bonding. This time round, they've taken a lot more initiative. The other nite, we actually had an argument coz he thought i de-valued his pals due to them 'shirking responsibility' after the church wedding. Truth was, he dismissed them coz all of them thought the show had ended. Didn't expect the mess afterwards. It could have been because Ben thought he could shoulder everything, and everyone else thought everyone else was helping hm. A lot of non-communication and assumption made. So tonight, i think it's gonna be different. Anyways, I told him that Mich would be co-ordinating, and need manpower. So they'll be working with u gal. :D

Received 607 photo duplicates to sort out this evening. Copies of the church wedding. Let's hope i can get them done.

Oh, reading 'The Surrendered Wife' by Laura Doyle. Excellent book for a person like me. Learning alot. Somehow seeing mich's attitude toward her man shows me that i've a lot to learn from her. :) *kowtow* Heh. :D

Anywayz, am glad for this 2 frenships. Really has changed my mind about havin' girlfrenz. Thought it was something i could never do, nor have. Some personality disorder which i may secretly have that repels girls. Hah. But, since both elise & mich are pretty immuned to it, i'm blessed. :D

*Hugz*. I'm glad I'm alive. God is good.

Another day...

Wah... tired. But today has been much better. I'm learning alot, and really think that Ben's my Giving Tree. I hope not to be the boy, but instead be one in return as well.

Lately, or rather, eversince dunno when, i've been having vivid dreams almost every night. Pretty awesome, yet at times exhausting.

Well, too tired to blog, and just longing for my bed. Heh. Today I got Rexson to read abit. Praise the Lord! :D
